Nutricia Australia Pty Limited is a member company of the Infant Nutrition Council (INC). The aim of this council is to contribute to the provision of safe and adequate nutrition for infants, by the protection and the promotion of breastfeeding and by ensuring the proper use of breastmilk substitutes, when these are necessary, on the basis of adequate information and through appropriate marketing and distribution.

As a signatory, Nutricia voluntarily abides by the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula Agreement (MAIF Agreement). This is the Australian interpretation of the WHO Code for the Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes. The WHO Code was adopted in 1981 by the World Health Assembly. The Code exists to protect the interests of the mother and baby and to ensure that manufacturers of breastmilk substitutes comply with quality and labelling requirements that first and foremost promote the benefits of breastfeeding.

Details of the ANZ Food Standards Code can be found at the Food Standards Australia New Zealand website: www.foodstandards.gov.au.
